Bobby is the Vice President/General Manager for Aviation at Shift5, helping customers gain access and insight to the data transiting onboard aircraft avionics networks, increasing operational readiness and mission capability.

 

Bobby, an accomplished product leader with over 20 years of progressive aerospace experience, joined Shift5 from Honeywell where he most recently led the Connected Aircraft business enterprise. He has proven success in leading business model strategy in new markets, $180M+ P&L ownership and execution of major customer product development projects in Commercial and in Defense & Space aerospace hardware, software and services products. Before leaving Honeywell, Bobby was successful in launching the new Unmanned Systems satellite communications business as well the as the Connected Defense business focusing on cyber protection and implementation of connected industrial control systems for US DOD installations. In the early half of his career, Bobby directly led or supported the design and development of guidance & navigation systems, aviation radios, displays and satellite 

communication systems.

 

He is graduate of Vanderbilt University holding a Master’s in Business Administration as well as a graduate of both the University of Florida and the University of Tennessee holding Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering respectively.
