DUBAI AIRSHOW FLYING DISPLAY TO FEATURE UK'S ROYAL AIR FORCE TYPHOON

Dubai, UAE. 1 November 2009 -Dubai Airshow promises a spectacular military aviation flying display, daily from 15 to 19 November, with the first-ever appearance at the show of the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft.
Dubai Airshow, being held at the city's Airport Expo, is the foremost aerospace event in the Middle East and the fastest growing in the world.
The Typhoon, an agile, multi-role aircraft, specially optimised for high-altitude, supersonic air combat, while retaining considerable ground-attack capabilities, will be flown by the UK's Royal Air Force (RAF).
The aircraft is built by a four-nation consortium comprising BAE Systems of the UK, Alenia Aeronautica of Italy, EADS Deutschland and EADS Spain.
Alison Weller, Director of show organiser F&E Aerospace, said she was pleased to welcome the RAF to Dubai Airshow: "The appearance of the Typhoon jet will confirm that Dubai Airshow will now really be a high-tech, state-of-the-art military aviation display, illustrating the cutting-edge nature of defence in the Middle East."
