Testimonials
2007 marked the Dubai Airshow's 10th anniversary and attracted 45,421 Trade visitors with 140 Aircraft on the static display and a record breaking order book of $155.5 billion.
Here is what some of the exhibitors & visitors have to say about the show:
HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,The ever-increasing number of exhibitors interested in participating in this economic, commercial and cultural event reflects the diversity of exhibitors and rising interest in keeping themselves updated on the latest developments in civil and military aviation industry. The Dubai International Airshow is viewed as an international forum for senior Arab and foreign politicians, officers, businessmen, investors, media men as well as sightseers. This makes it a perfect economic, commercial, cultural and tourist event that should be properly used to shed the light on our centuries-old culture and genuine values.
Crown Prince of Dubai
Daniel Petit,We really appreciate the participation of key UAE decision-makers, such as the UAE Armed forces delegations, at the show. We had the opportunity to present our future projects to them and when we return to Dubai Airshow in 2011 we hope that our efforts will be realised in tangible deals.
Corporate Marketing Director, MBDA Missile Systems
Eng. M. Gamal,This is our first time as a participant and we are marketing our training centre and maintenance and engineering services. It was good decision to take part as we have had interest from the UAE, India, Sri Lanka and Oman which we believe we will turn into business in the months to come. We have tested the show and it has proved so worthwhile that we will return with a bigger stand in 2011.
Marketing, Sales & Customer Services, Egyptair Holding Company, Egypt
Tom Brown,It has been just great - we have had a lot of interest in our services from the wider Middle East region, Europe and the US and absolutely business will result. We go to four airshows in the US and we have done more business in one day here than we do at a full show there. Really it has well exceeded our expectations and has been outrageously fantastic for a new guy on the block. We will absolutely be back... because the return-on-investment that is coming out of being here is substantial.
Senior Sales Manager, Skyplan, Canada
He Ning,We are, of course, going to get new business out of this show as we have had discussions with a number of potential partners. We want to expand our influence in the Middle East and this show is helping us achieve that.
Executive Sales Manager, China National Aero-Technology Import & Export Corporation
Willis J. Brown,The show has been flawless from an organisational point of view and we have been able to receive a Lebanese military delegation to further talks with them which actually began at the 2007 show.
VP Business Development, Alsalam Aircraft Company, Saudi Arabia
Bernd Habbel,For me this year's Dubai Airshow is just as big as the last one in 2007, and that says something, especially in these difficult times. It is extremely important for us to be here in Dubai as the Middle East is our biggest market outside of Europe, and we have been to every airshow here since the start. We already have many customers in the region and there is a huge potential for more.
Director Corporate Communications, Lufthansa Technik, Germany
Paul Skinner,Our location has been exceptional and resulted in a steady visitor flow which has been excellent. There is great potential here, particularly from the Middle East region as a whole. It has done a lot to reinforce our reputation in this market.
Business Development Manager, Aftermarket, MEGGITT, UK
Martin Butler,We have seen plenty of new contacts for new business, and it is extremely important for us to be here and make these contacts for the long term development of our company. It is at places such as Dubai Airshow where you make important contacts and this is just a nice size of show where you don't have to walk great distances to see everybody you need to see.
Director, Communications, Goodrich, USA
Marwan Atalla,We came here braced for a slow show with low expectations because of the high two years ago. But we have been pleasantly surprised. Everyone that was here two years ago are here again. We have seen a lot of good people from the airlines. The show may not have had the headlines of two years ago but you have all the interest and the excitement.
Chairman, Ayla Flight Academy, Jordan
Mohammed Saideh,The show has been the best platform for us to promote our services and meet our customers and position our brand. The whole world has come to Dubai. We have had customers visit our stand and then see our premises. We are a 100% Dubai company and it has been great to meet new people and show them what we can do.
Chief Commercial Officer, Palm Aviation, Dubai
Akbar al Baker,Dubai Airshow is now really on the international events calendar and as we are a large international carrier it is important for us to be present not only to support the Dubai Airshow itself but also to showcase the Qatar Airways product.
